Dear Retro Friends,

This last e-mail prompts the following reminder. Without wishing to replace the invaluable resource of the Retrograde Analysis Mailing List, I'd like to mention another resource that I run which is also available to our community: the Retroanalysis forum<http://chessproblem.net/viewforum.php?f=10> on ChessProblem.net<http://chessproblem.net> (just entering its 7th year). One can subscribe to the forum to be notified automatically of all new posts. In addition, posts can include diagrams, display games, contain attachments, and are also fully searchable, backed up regularly, and archived by the British Library<http://chessproblem.net/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=406>.

Thanks for your attention.

Alexander George

Hi Otto! In Your message from May 2012 You say that You have uploaded some 1990's messages to retro corner. I can't find those. I personally remember how I wrote something important in about 1996, but I can't find it. Of course there were many irrelevant or non-important messages in early days of Philip Schnoebelen as editor, but is it true that many important messages have disappeared for ever. Olli.

The old archive is gone since the old mailing list was shut down in 1999
(the archive is bound to the mailing list). However, I found two
archives on
my hard disc and uploaded them to the Retro Corner:
http://www.janko.at/Retros/Retro-Mailing-List-Archiv-1.zip (~2 MB)
http://www.janko.at/Retros/Retro-Mailing-List-Archiv-2.zip (~5 MB)
Maybe these archives do not contain all mails, but it's all I have.
Good Luck!
