Electric chairs from mercedes !

seat control; first check your fuses. every seat has two fuses, the back
control from left is together with
the seat from right and vice versa.
Then check the wires on the control box under the seats.
control box; mentioned 5 connectors above 4 relai's

connector above 1 relai = motor bottom seat up/down backside
2nd connector= motor bottom seat up/down frontside
3th connector= motor bottom seat forward and backwards
4th connector= motor backrest forward and backwards
5th connector= motor headrest up and down.

The connectors on the other side:
Just between connector 5 with 2 relai's between is the power connector.
There should be 2 times 12 volt on the connector from 2 fuses in the
motorcompartment
Look well at the fuses because it me seem that they are good, but by age
they are broken.
For 3 $ you replace all the fuse by new, it is better to do after some
years.
On the left side is the connector from the door panel control, it give power
to the system if the door is open.
Then you have open part and at the right against the 3 relai's there is the
connector what go's to
the backrest for saftey.
When the bottom from the chair is going backwards and the backrest is almost
coming to the side of the car, the motor is turning the backrest forward.

You can take out the control box, remove carefully the relai covers and use
very tiny sandpaper to clean the contacts.

If you want to check the wiring and motors you can put the control box back
and connect. Don't put the relaicovers back.
if you take the 4 relai's to you, the left one controls the headrest
up/down. 1/2 and 1/10
you can give the cupper contact a light push and the motor will react.
downwards push 1/2 and 2/9

Then from left to right:
first row; 1/2 3/4 5/6 7/8
second row; 9/10 1/10 4/6/8
third row; 2/9 3/5/7

1=headrest up
2=headrest down
3=backrest backwards
4=backrest forwards
5=chair front
6=chair back
7=chair seat front up
8=chair seat front down
9=chair seat back up
10=chair seat back down

Onderwerp: [R129 SL] schematic request

Hi all,
I need wiring schematic of electric seat system for my 300sl.
It seems possessed... switches don't work and it moved all most all
the way forward on day while driving. And it has not moved since. The motor
is working... or it wouldn't have acted like "Christine" that day I was
driving. Any suggestions????
