[W126 Coupe] Decision re "new" MBcoupes mailing list

In my post last night, I said I'd make a decision as to what to do with the "new MBcoupes mailing list."  

I have made the decision to curtail the "new" MBcoupes list that Steve Nervig and I set up.

Quite a few of you have sent emails over the past couple of days in support of the new list and asking to keep it going for another month or two to give people time to sign up.  I've also recieved at least 5 offers of financial support.  These are appreciated, but it was never about the money.

I've also seen several [rather boorish, IMHO] messages to the effect of:

why screw around with a perfectly good list?




In light of new information that Satish may be turning over list administration information so that someone can actually start minding the store with this "old" MBcoupes list, I've decided to curtail the effort and let folks stick with the status quo list that y'all have been accustomed to.

All I can say is that Steve and I got off our duffs and tried to do something positive for the SEC community. I truly appreciate the messages of support (moral, financial and signing up for the new resource).

The "new list" will be decommissioned by the end of the day, and none of the information that people signed up with will further see the light of day.
