[W126 Coupe] AGM Batteries

Given the amount of Rust I've seen in the battery tray/fender well of
560's and AGM's general resistance towards leaking in all but the
nastiest of over charging situations is comforting.

IME, I've never seen a battery crank/have reserve like an AGM. It's
amazing how long they'll crank even on old worn out diesels in the dead
of winter.
They weigh a bloody ton compared to a conventional flooded battery...if
you are used to flooded you'll be in for a bit of a surprise first time
you go grab your AGM!

MB started using them in diesels and large trucks, now they are in use
across the board... their original/HD design holds an appeal, I always
enjoy a bit of overkill...;-)
