Hey Guys;
It has been quite a while since I posted, and since the mortgage market is in the toilet, I am back to driving my beloved 86 560SEC, that is 325,000 miles young once again!! Anyway, the auxilary fan has seized up, and I was going to replace it with a 16" universal one. I have seen them pretty cheap on e-bay, but my real question is should I replace the main clutch driven fan with one, or two electric ones? And if I do, do I still need the auxillary fan in addition to the main electric ones? Also, I have read posts about flex a lite electric fans, but they are expensive. Has anyone had any experience with the less expensive ones?? Like the Jeggs fans? Also, I have a leak in one of my AC hoses. When I first got the car in 1994, I took it into the benz dealer, and they replaced one AC hose (I think it is the same one that is bad now) and it was about 900.00. Can I go to an AC shop and have them fabricate a hose?? I think it would be quite a bit less than the MB OEM part.
Thanks
Ken
