[W126 Coupe] ?? climate control question...

i've asked this before, although the problem seems to have progressed...

the a/c cuts down when i speed up...and you guys gave the reason why that would happen...well what's happening now is most of the cold air is blowing out the top vents...eventually it will forceably come out the middle vents.   oddly enough the side vents seem to blow normally.    i'm thinking its those vacuum balls behind the console.  i truly hope not...too much work.
