Hi Guys.
Took the 560 in for emissions and failed ,then took to m/b shop that set my 450 slc and they said that it couldn't get the #'s down because they say it has an intake manifold leak and wanted $1800 to $1900 to fix and then THOUGH it would pass. I asked and he told me 600.00 IN PARTS AND THE REST WAS LABOR. I then called my friend also a m/b shop mechanic and he told me to just bring it by and he would check it out. He also looked up job in book and it said 6 hours labor plus parts which I looked up and aren't that many. The 1st. shop is $89.. per hour and his is a price per job, but also said that they were problemly cover their ass's for broken bolts upon removal. Mine guy said it happens sometime but not always and if it happen to him he also would have to charge a little more but the worse would be $800.00 to $900.00.

The question is do they need gaskets at 100k or maybe a o2 sensor and cap rotor or something like that. Help,
