[W126 Coupe] Aircon Faults

What do you mean by "cuts out"?  You stop getting cold air, or heat, or
both?  Under what conditions?  My compressor used to cut out and stop
pumping out cold air under certain driving conditions and it was traced to a
faulty speed sensor on the compressor.  Could also be your klima relay,
pushbutton unit, vacuum issues, etc.
