[W126 Coupe] OT: W140 1999 S500

I would like to thank everyone for their previous help with my 87 560SEC. It
runs beautifully now and I haven't been more proud of it. On the other hand
I have a friend who has a beautiful 1999 black on black S500. The car was
recently sitting for a month. It now has a CEL, which P0100 (Air flow
circuit). I looked under the air cleaners and the breather hose running from
the valve cover on the passenger side to the intake manifold is torn. This
may explain the slight miss. However the car shuts off at low speed. For
example I went today to check it out. Car starts up right of way. Then after
about 5 seconds it shut off. No stumbling or trouble. Just died. Any
thoughts? Thank you all in advance
