[W126 Coupe] Regarding emission equipment on engines..

Well, my home of record is in a non-testing area of Oregon, but I don't
want to completely gut emissions just to thumb my nose at the
authorities. I just can't see adding unnecessary clutter to the engine
if it doesn't have to be there.
Honestly, 90% of this stuff on top of the engine will be disappearing as
soon as I have the engine up and running. I'm going to swap to
MegaSquirt EFI. I'm just trying to figure out what has to be there to
run properly.
As far as the air pump part goes, the "new" engine doesn't even have the
bungs on the exhaust manifold for them to plump in to, so I'm assuming
that this engine didn't have that emissions system on it from the factory.
