Thanks all. I only have the square key is that the master I hope. Just
got home from Miami airport long ride 220 miles (not in the SEC) I will try
on Sunday.

You ARE using the square key, not the round one, yes? I certainly don't
mean to be insulting. But it's funny how many people NEVER use the round
(valet) key for years and then forget what it is for.
Also.... if the tumbler is troublesome, use some Schließzylinderfett.

It's not likely a wiring problem. Mike is likely giving a possible way of
getting the trunk open. Put some weight on the trunk lid and rapidly push
the button in and let it snap out many times. Does the button actually snap
back on its own? If that fails try lifting the lid gently and do the same.
If the lock is in the twelve o'clock position it should be unlocked, but the
horizontal locking pin may have disconnected or stuck for some reason in the
secondary locking hole. (Someone has just included good pictures... can't
remember who) You would be hoping that the pin would rattle back (to the
right) to the "unlock" position... suddenly the lid would open. That's
possibility #1. (there's a couple more)
You say the lock won't turn 90 degrees to three o'clock? That's the "lock"
position.
