[W126 Coupe] Window switch on console

Hi Lou:

Those individual switches on the 90 MB's snap in place from under the
console wood. It may have been depressed a bit hard on one occasion and
simply dropped down in there a bit. You'll need to do the typical
center console wood removal process to access that switch from the rear
of the wood and underneath and simply push it back in place.

Console wood removal requires ashtray insert removal, ashtray drawer
removal (2 screws where the tray insert was) then coin tray or switch
box removal lifts forward a bit then up once the ash tray drawer is
clear, then lift and remove the plastic trim bezel around the shift gate
(pressure fit at 4 corners to the sides, careful not to snap the legs
when lifting out) then it's slide the wood console forward a 1/2 inch or
so to free up the front and center clips so that the wood can be lifted
upward. Since you only need to access that one dropped switch, lift the
rear of the wood clear leaving all the wiring harnesses attached and
just press that one switch casing back in there with one or two well
positioned fingers. You won't be able to see much where the clearance
will be fairly tight. So long as the switch pops back in place and
feels firm you should be all set. Then re-install the whole affair..

That should work, I think.
