[W126 Coupe] 560SEC test drive

The diff can leak from one of 3 places
1. The oil seal at the prop-shaft end
2. The oil seals at either drive-shaft flanges
3. The rear plate which is held on by half a dozen bolts.

#3 is easy to fix as it just requires a new paper gasket.
#2 requires removing drive-shafts, removing the back plate (#3), Extracting
the 2 surclips which retain the 2 short, splined half-shaft hubs and then
you have easy access to the seals. Don't forget to refit the 2 thrust
washers but they are pretty obvious.
#1 probably requires removal of the diff to access the seal. (not 100% sure)
Refitting the whole diff is heavy work & no pleasure. (just done it)
Remember to refill diff with special LS oil as I think yours is an LS diff.
