Hi Mike:
I used a thin layer of construction adhesive applied with a chaulk gun
followed by the hidden application of several aluminum pop rivets. Both
surfaces were scuffed up with 180 grit where the adhesive was applied.
I placed rivet plate washers on both sides of the work where it was not
visible and a washer on the backside where I had to putty the rivet face
before painting. If you are so inclined add the ultrasonic presence
detectors to avoid the occasional contact with curbs etc. I've repaired
the lower edge of the nose twice due to my screw-ups the first few times
I drove the SEC lowered and with body kit installed. I've used
MarineTex (think that's right) followed by the air brush. Knock on
wood; I've had no close encounters in over a year. Still the ultrasonic
set-up would be a plus IMHO.
