[W126 Coupe] bumper / fog light brackets

One thing I've noticed, it seems that for some reason on the US bumper cars the fog lamps never seem to fit flush to the bumper cover, whereas the Euros do. I think this is probably because the engineers didn't redesign the brackets to acommodate the differences in the bumpers. I took mine off and redrilled the holes in the mounting brackets and was able to get the lamps to fit flush. There are small rubber pads on them to isolate from vibration, I'm assuming. You can see in the pics how the lamps don't seem to fit flush.
