[W126 Coupe] Lowering an '88 560 SEL

Hi Everyone,
 
Is there anything in particular i need to know, or impotantly be wary of if i was to lower an '88 560 SEL?
 
The car has the self levelling on the rear only.
 
I know the part numbers for the springs are different for cars with the system against the ones that don't.
 
I'm unsure as none of my other cars have the system, in truth, i've probably steered away from it for whatever reason which i cannot remember why now!?!
