[W126 Coupe] Broken bolt

Hi Dave,
I would remove the whole hub before trying to drill into the sheared off bolt.
You can put the hub in a drill press.
It's a bummer that the bolt always seems to shear off at an angle which makes drilling it rather tricky as the drill 'skates' on the splayed face. If you remove the hub you may find you can get at it from the back side.
My experience is beware of cheap Easyouts.
When an Easyout shears off, you really have a monumental problem as they are made of hardened steel.
If in doubt - rather take the hub to an Engineering works and let them do the job.
Good Luck.
Regards
Alec D.

I need some help with a broken wheel bolt on a 1990 560 SEC. The last 1/2 inch fractured at a nasty angle and I'm not sure what to do? Any ideas.
Dave
