A heavy rattling noise, possibly a couple of loose clunks when hitting largish bumps? More predominant on one side or the other but can be felt in the steering wheel?
Most likely you need what Iain Gunn pictured. Strut Rod Bushing Kit 126 330 11 35.
Check the strut from the steering assembly running towards the rear and connects through the "frame". The Yankee passenger (or right) side bushing mounts by the downward exhaust pipe. If the bushing is shot, likely the rubber boot is cracked and falling apart also... and is easily visible. If in doubt raise the car and check for looseness in the strut rod at the bushing.
It's easy to locate, but not quite as easy to change. The bushing kits are about $90 each.

My wife tells me that I have a problem as she can't hear it (but that's a woman with no car knowledge) but I do.I recently changed the wheel bearings, all of the tie rods & ends, the center link and the center shock. It doesn't happen on a normal smooth road or small bumps.Where should I look?ThanksJack1989 560 SEC1980 450 SL
