[W126 Coupe] changing my front brakes

i was starting to change my front brakes but i couldn't take the pad assembly off!  it was as though those 2 bolts where welded on.  that is correct...there are only two bolts, right?  that seemed to be the only thing holding the pad assembllly in place.
   
  is there a special tool?
   
  is there anything i should know before i start working on my brakes.
   
  also i'm going to do the rears...anything there?
