[W126 Coupe] lighting option

Yes, you can spend big money on a full euro upgrade to get this but, if
you're like me and you actually prefer the US headlamp look (at least on
the pre-1986 cars), there is a cheap and easy way to get this: Cibie
drop in lamps that replace your sealed beam lamps. This will let you use
an H4 for the headlamp and you can get ones that have a slot of the city
light (www.danielsternlighting.com has them, contact him).

Hi Rick;

What you saw was the citi-light feature on a set of euro headlamps vs. 
the default US DOT headlamps.  By the way they have a much better
lighting pattern on the street at night as well.  I have mine set-up to
provide a cool blue tint vs. the typical amber which is an indication of
the original factory bulb with years of use on it.
