[W126 Coupe] FACTORY ALARM COMING ON AND STAYING ON WHILE DRIVING.

Lift up the front passenger floormat, take out the lower mat. Now you
see a plastic panel, one on the floor (well, what I'm talking about here
isn't a plastic panel, but just the vent for air to the back seats), and
one on the front wall. All you need to take out is the one on the front
wall, but it's easier if you first take out the air vent for the back
seats. Now, once you have taken off the one on the front wall, you see a
big honkin connector (I forget how many pins, but it's big). Unplug
that. Voila, alarm disabled.

Subject: [W126 Coupe] FACTORY ALARM COMING ON AND STAYING ON WHILE
DRIVING.

Hi All,
Has anyone information on the factory installed alarm unit?
Mine is going off while driving, and will not stay off more than a few
seconds.

1) How do I disconnect the alarm?
2) How do you test the door, trunk and hood pins for the alarm?
3) Is there an altimeter unit used for the alarm? And if so where is it
located?

Any ideas ??????

Thanks
Bruce
