Very strange about your camshaft!

That VIN number should start WDBE, not WBDE. But the rest is a bone- 
fide 300CE W124 gasoline 1992 coupe built in the Sindelfingen plant.  
Chassis is a 124.051. Has a 217 hp M104 inline six-cylinder, twin- 
cam, 24-valve, CIS-E fuel injected engine (104.980). The 300CE coupe  
was introduced to the American market in 1988. A very well balanced  
car (nearly 50-50 weight bias). Handles a bit quicker than the SEC,  
rides nearly as well. Build quality is good, but not as good as the SEC.

I like mine. :-)
