Thank You! I think I would like this one too.
Best Wishes,
John
It handles better than my 560SEC and has the audacity to have a 160 Mph speedometer... Maybe?

My pristine '91 560SEC snapped a camshaft for the second time in less than a month. Right before the last cylinder in the drivers side #8 as before. The owner/mechanic and I have speculated why? Perhaps because I took off the restricting tubes to the air filter and it got too much air, probably not, some people supercharge their car! There is no question that it is covered by warranty with less than 1000 since the new cam but..... The loaner he gave me is intriguing! It is a 1992 300CE and what a red cutie. Somehow I do not think this minimal bumpered thing was made for the American market, can anyone help with the VIN. It is WBDEA51D7NB652805.
Thanks in Advance and Best Wishes,

Very strange about your camshaft!
That VIN number should start WDBE, not WBDE. But the rest is a bone-fide 300CE W124 gasoline 1992 coupe built in the Sindelfingen plant. Chassis is a 124.051. Has a 217 hp M104 inline six-cylinder, twin-cam, 24-valve, CIS-E fuel injected engine (104.980). The 300CE coupe was introduced to the American market in 1988. A very well balanced car (nearly 50-50 weight bias). Handles a bit quicker than the SEC, rides nearly as well. Build quality is good, but not as good as the SEC.
I like mine. :-)

Steve
