To all,
If you have not cleaned your condenser coil on your ac, give it a good
cleaning. Spay some simple green let soak, and rinse off on LOW pressure so
you dont bend the coils. This will help get the dirt out and improve
airflow over the consender coil to help cool the freeon and resotre
effiecency. Though R134A will never have the cooling properties like R12
did. Airflow is vital.
Make sure your Aux fax is working. If not when you come to stop, there is
not enough air flow moving accross the condensor. The cheap fix is just to
wire a toggle switch in and mount under the dash or where you like. That
way if your just doing light city driving just leave the fan on.
To test the Aux fan just unplug the two spade connectors coming off the Red
pressure switch (old style was green) attached to the reciever dryer, and
stick a paper clip in each end to see if your fax is even working. If so,
you know your fan is good and you have a bad high pressure swicth, which in
turn this pressure switch detects high head pressure and kicks the fan on
and off to prevent dammage to the compressor.
Just though I would share this.
