[W126 Coupe] brake upgrades

I put a set of ATE slotted rotors with semi-metallic pads on the front of my
'87 560SEC and left the back stock. Several runs with a G-Tech Pro showed a
0-60 of right around 7.0 seconds (correct value for bone stock SEC), but it
also showed 60-0 of around 140 feet.

Yes, I have been wondering the same thing.I think the brakes are HORRID!,
but I have a 1990 560?

  Something I don't get is everybody say how good the brakes in these cars
are. Did they change them in 86 or something? Cause the pre-86 ones do 60-0
in 160 feet. Not exactly blistering by todays standards. Though I do believe
an old car and driver review of the 560SEL said it "stops like the dickens."
