[W126 Coupe] Starter Too

Thanks, Someone I work with (who is a motorhead) said he had a similar
problem and it was one of the wires not delivering enough power to the
starter motor. When it made the noise, it bumped the gears together
without enough power to force the Bendix gear past the flywheel gear and
just spun against it. Another idea to check anyway.

I had exactly the same problem a few years back on my 500SEC and it was
the
starter that was faulty.
Could be the flywheel, but more likely the starter motor.
