[W126 Coupe] brake upgrades

Yes, I have been wondering the same thing.I think the brakes are HORRID!,
but I have a 1990 560?

Something I don't get is everybody say how good the brakes in these cars
are. Did they change them in 86 or something? Cause the pre-86 ones do 60-0
in 160 feet. Not exactly blistering by todays standards. Though I do believe
an old car and driver review of the 560SEL said it "stops like the dickens."

I have put on the 560Sel-88 and the 420Sel-87 the ATE power disc on the
front and left the backs stock.  I have been more than pleased with the
longevity and performance with these and using the ATE brand pads.  I seem
to get better braking and for sure more life out of the rotor and pads. I
have not experienced any brake fade, warp or pulling.  Nice even wear.  I
have put over 40K on these with zero complaints. And would recommend them
highly vs the stock benz rotors.

I have an 1989 560SEC, and a 1986 420SEL. I am tring to upgrade the brakes
on my SEC but I can find no parts for the 126, only for the 140 or later can
anyone help me out .
