Axel, Check out:http://www.wheelcollision.com/index.html They aren't "too far" from us, about an hour from me I think, just above Allentown/Bethlehem. A friend of mine used them before and was happy with the results. I also have a body shop contact if you need other sources, although they may even be using the same place, his shop is in Exton, and they have one in WC too I think (Grand Sport Auto Body). I have been looking for the OZ Racing made 3-piece AMG rims on US ebay for quite a while and have seen nothing of interest to date. (It's the model that looks like the AMG Aero II Monoblock, only in 3-piece form.)
However, on the German ebay they are available most of the time. I am considering buying a set in Germany and having them shipped over here. It is quite a hassle, with international money transfer, customs and import issues and all. As well as expensive. Talbir looked into the cost of shipping wheels to the US from the UK when he had some rims for sale and was quoted close to $150/rim.
Also of concern is receiving damaged goods, or just less than perfect. I understand from Talbir that you need special tools for these rims and I would therefore need to know where to find an authorized AMG/OZ Racing rim repair shop. I went on the OZ Racing website, but they did not have any service shops listed. Does anyone know of a US authorized repair shop? Hopefully close to Philadelphia?
Thanks.
Regards, Axel J. Wulff
