Wow, I had no idea we had so many Corte Madera alums. I too lived there
from 72 to 76....up there on Christmas Tree Hill with a nice view of San
Quentin...the strange and reclusive Jack Cassady's estate backed up to my
backyard...Owsley lived there too....life in Marin...all too much and so
many years ago...but I bailed to North Beach...not too shocking a
transition....I do not know what would have happened if I had gone straight
to Round Rock without a decompression stage like a few years in Oregon...so
that Texas seemed a lateral move...rather than a dive into the middle of the
Brobdingnagians (or was that Yahoos?).
tele
PS- Mike...don't let the gnome get your paintings in a wad. Also...I was
never tempted to even join the Y in Marin...not to mention the Taliban.
