Excite extinguishers

Our broadband provider is AT&T which was excite's largest customer. I think
Excite tried to hold AT&T up for more money and AT&T declined and decided to
do the work themselves. Excite may be in a court-managed re-organization
and trying to hold onto some of their customers.......they have laid off
many, many of their employees, so, I suspect the customer support and techie
folks left are beleagured - so, I wouldn't be surprised by service
interruptions, etc.

Did Excite go out of business nationwide? It still seems to be working here.
But there were a few days when I thought I had lost it and couldn't get On.
I always think it is my fault first, but later in the day I discovered that
the glitch was widespread and several other businesses along Burnet Road
were having the same problem.
