I just checked the award (Die Schwalbe Heft 228, page 304-309). Jörg is
consistently talking about '"Exotisch" (sprich: "illegal")' ["Exotic"
(read: "illegal")] in his award. And in the afterword he writes, on the
subject of economy: "Hierher gehört auch die Frage der Legalität von
Märchenstellungen. Können sie auf orthodoxe Stellungen "zurückgeführt"
werden, ist das ein erheblicher formästhetischer Vorzug gegenüber
"exotischen", jeden Rahmen sprengenden Stellungen" (which translates to
something like "To this belongs also the legality question of fairy
positions. When they can be retracted to an orthodox position, then that
is a form-esthetic advantage compared to "exotic" positions which defy
all rules.").
