has two examples of stalemate PG's. P0102 is a modification of Loyd's
famous "shortest stalemate game", which had a dual. P0106 shows Black
stalemated despite having all 16 units on the board.

I was wondering, is this the first known stalemate SPG?

As always, thanks for your feedback.

Hello Francois,
stalemate SPGs do exist already.

For me it was a challenge to compose a special stalemate SPG which
fullfills the following tasks:
1. Black has still all 16 pieces on board (and is stalemated).
2. White has a maximum number of pieces on board. In my composition I
achieved 14 which gives a total of 30 pieces.

It was just published in "Die Schwalbe", February 2004, Issue 205,
Problem #12181.

Regards,
Christoph
