Thanks Joost. I assume that with no other responses, his was correct (not 
that I doubt your expertise).

So in A, I will take a black move back - place the knight or king on another 
square they could have come from - then do the same for white, but then make a 
mating move for white.

B seems so easy that I won't try to repeat the instructions...
