Hi Dan,

Sorry to hear you are having troubles. You may just want to apply a few
of my notes and some of Mike Ramay's. Slide the seat forward and remove
the two rear seat floor bolts. Now see if you can lift the back end a
bit and place a wood block under the steel foot rail. This should give
you sufficient space to inspect the single plastic vacuum line that
comes up from the floor pan and plugs into a press fit joint for the
integral seat vacuum feed to the seat lock. In other words, they may
just have disconnected. If this is all that needs fixing it may save
you additional effort all around.

The seat bolt plastic covers are MB dealer only. You may just find a
list type with a few on hand that match your color...
