Hey there

I have recenetly removed my center console except i have the Auto AC
control unit, you seem to have the manual one. From the W124 i remember
that the rotary knobs have to be pulled out and and the nuts removed, dont
know if its the same with W126..

Other than that, i assume that you've removed the 2 screws behind the
ashtray and the 2 screws below the wooden trim.

There are another 2 screws under the AC vents (but youll need remove AC
control unit). four screws at the shiter. Also under the armrest there
should be a one or two screws in the pocket (depending on which option you
have... lockable sliding pocket or just an empty space etc..)

Also remember to "unhook" the cable which opens\closes the rear AC vents
and try to pull it aside since its under the actual AC tubes. (you'll have
to remove the wooden trim with all the window control buttons.)

If the driver seat is removed it would make things easier, because the
armrest will be out of your way.. but you dont really need to.. you'll be
playing a bit of Twister and it'll eventually come out :P ..

If you need photos of anything dont hesitate since i havent put things back
yet..

Regards
Yousef
