Hi Folks
I have removed the offending vac line,it seems to have been affected by
corrosive elements from the battery and some chaffing. The MB dealer could
not supply the original colour coded line so I have ordered quality coloured
line from the UK, Dick was spot on with the headlamp switch leaking vacuum
position 3 is holding no vacuum at all while 2&1 bleed off slowly.
I am wondering if this is how the headlamp height adjustment works by
bleeding off a controlled amount of vacuum,if this is the case I am
thinking of bypassing the switch completely and applying full vacuum
,question is will this give me the the full headlamp height if so this
should not be a problem with self levelling suspension.as long as it does
not affect oncoming traffic.
Kind
