[W126 Coupe] 380 died :-(

Probably a loose battery cable, either at the battery post or at the  
starter motor. It can also be due to corrosion of the cable ends. The  battery 
can also check good at 12 VDC, but have inadequate charge capacity  to turn 
the engine over. Try jumping it from another vehicle. If that works, get  a 
new battery and have the alternator checked at the same time.
