Bob;
No matter what, from what you are saying I suspect that you will have to remove the door panel to see exactly what is happening. Sounds like you may be needing a new regulator. I believe someone has written a procedure in the tech section of this site if you have never done this.

Subject: [W126 Coupe] Passenger Window Problems

Thanks for all the input – here is an update. Replaced fuse and switch - window still does not move. I can hear something mechanical moving in the door with switch activated. If I had to guess – it sounds like the regulator is moving but the window is not properly seated in the track?? So I know the switch is activating the motor, but this is the extent of my “guessing”…Any Ideas??Thanks Bob Brown88’ 560 SEC
