[W126 Coupe] hood latch question

Gary is the right or the left? My left side would not pop open. There is cable that goes from the drivers side you can see the black barrel like price with threads on it turn the threads all the way in that will give you all the play you need to take the cable out of the latch. Take the black peice of plastic in front beside the radiator then you can see the latch and the cables. I used brakekleen to clean it and I used whitelub. It's not to hard good luck!!!
