Hi Kelly,
Id check your wires tonight with a spray bottle and water. Look for racing on the coil lead first when wet. Then check cap and rotor too if you have not done so in 30 k or more.

The accelerator would not make it rev any higher unless it put all the way to the floor and then it would take off but anything less it was all the way to the floor it would just not accelerate. I have filled the tank all the way up at a different gas station and have added a can of Sea Foam and drove the car today for about a half-hour stopping and then another half hour in stop and go traffic and up to 80 miles an hour on I-95 and it ran perfectly (no rain here today). Could it be possible that the rain water on the road was affecting the fuel pumps underneath the car I am missing part of the plastic box there in I am missing the cover you can see the fuel pumps from the rear of the car. Reading what you said, the heavy rain may be a red herring and has nothing to do with it. One possible cause is you took on water from the gas station (condensation in their tank? cover leak?) and you're sucking water into the fuel distributor. Water does not easily pass the injector system and kind of collects there until you stop. (You may have sloshed up the water again when you made the U-turn). Try buying a quart of methyl hydrate (also "methyl alcohol", "wood alcohol"... at the paint dept at Home Depot for example) and put half a cup (or more... it burns well, no damage possible!) into the tank. That would get rid of the water... almost instantly. I'd try that first. Methyl Hydrate is cheap. -Bellamy > From: 560secfl at gmail.com
