Agree 100%. Dealers are generally the best way to go for alignments as they have the correct knowledge & equipment to do this. You pretty much can't go wrong with the dealer.

Another option is to ask an experienced indy shop who they use -- often they use outside companies as they don't have the equipment themselves (though some indys do have the equipment). My indy shop when I lived in Portland, OR, MBI Motors has the equipment & knowledge to do this work on-site (of course, they've been servicing MBs for 45 years in the same building).

Here in Houston, my indy shop farms the work out to an experienced, nearby wheel/tire/suspension shop that has the proper equipment & know-how. I just go to them directly. This shop charges $125 for an alignment but it is done correctly (no car wash, Mike ;-)

Unfortunately, for a good alignment, you have to pay the piper.
