Steve,

Sophie is looking real good. Have you guys moved south yet?

It looks like it, I see sunshine in your picture.

All:

Tonight I posted a how-to on my site's 126 sub-board, on replacing the
coolant expansion tank on the 126 coupe/sedan.

If you have never replaced this part, you really should. It's an
inexpensive part and if it ever cracks/breaks, you're stranded until it
can be replaced. When you do it, be sure to replace the coolant level
sensor, as well (also shown in the how-to).

This also applies to other cars such as the W124s. Good, inexpensive,
DIY-able preventative maintenance. Also a good chance to check the hoses
attaching to the expansion tank.

As always, great how-to post Gerry. I replaced my expansion tank (and
windshield washer fluid tank) a couple of years ago on my coupe and you
are correct, it makes a world of difference to the looks of your engine
compartment. And like you for the W126, I found them relatively
inexpensive for the W124 also. Highly recommended update.

Steve
