[W126 Coupe] ASR and Emissions Testing

In Atlanta, GA the emissions test stations perform a programmed test 
with the rear wheels sitting on rollers (like a dyno).  My 91 560sec 
nearly jumped off the rollers with the ASR defeat switch on or off.  By 
pure luck, I found in the 126 Chassis & Body Manual a note on page 1223 
in section 42-0810 that mentions that  "The connector from the ABS/ASR 
control module (N30/1) MUST BE DISCONNECTED before driving on to the 
performance test bench or speedometer tester".  I don't recall any 
mention of this on mbcoupes or BenzWorld in the three years I have been 
a member.  Any thoughts??

I will try this trick at the emission test station and report back - 
hopefully works.
