[W126 Coupe] low left rear end question

Hi Tom,

The gangsta lean is typically the rubber diff mount and/or the sub frame
bushings. I had renewed the springs on the rear of that 300se ( the
shocks were good, no leaks) and still had the lean. After Jonathan sent
me the rubber mounts all was good. I did the sub-frame bushings first
and the diff mount second. FYI, it's about 2- 3hours for the rubber
mounts in labor total for a DIY'r so may be less time for a pro. Never
did figure out which one cured the lean you describe.

With renewed sub-frame bushings the car should ride a tad smoother and
have no roll side to side. Those sway bar links Markus described can
cause the bar to make a clunking sound when worn. To test just grab
each one and wiggle side to side. If they are nice n stiff (firm) they
are good. If they move freely, replace them.
