Hey all,
I am trying to locate a passenger side mirror for my 560SEC. I have been
told they are coupe specific and all the ones I can find online/local are
for SEL.
Any help would be much appreciated.

I have a complete set, front and rear, although the front has the center
chrome for an SEL.

Dear fellow members,
I have been "collecting" data on 1991 560 SEC's imported to North America.
What I have been doing is building a database in an attempt to find out just
how many of the 2,138 '91 models are still around and what their value may
be. If you have a '91 or know of someone who does, or know of one for sale
that has all the data I track and would like to contribute to my database, I
would be happy to share the results. The data I need is as follows:
Date
Seller (indicate simply "Private" or Dealership name) State Full VIN number
Exterior color Interior color Mileage Selling price or Value (This should be
the listed asking price if car is for sale or what you would list your car
for if you were to offer it for sale)
If you also know of any dead 1991 SEC's (that have been scrapped) and have
the VIN, that would be useful as well. Only interested in 1991's and only if
you have the VIN number.
Thanks
J.Chip

Hi Tom,
Check the archives for 'gansta lean' which covered all the typical issues
with your off stance chassis. I replaced the sub-frame bushings and the
differential mount on my 300SE a few years back and this resolved the lean
you describe. In my opinion it was the differential mount causing the
problem but, I did both jobs at the same time so don't know for certain.

Tom;I think Markus is likely right. The culprit is likely the Sway
(Stabilizer) Bar Link that joins the rear sway bar to trailing arm Part No
123 320 09 89) When broken they will clunk when bouncing the rear corner.
Easy to see (remove wheel - directly behind the brake disc back plate), and
easy to replace. They cost less than $10.That would be the first place to
look anyway.-Bellamy

Subject: [W126 Coupe] low left rear end question
Today when walking up to my 560SEC from across the parking lot, I noticed
that the left rear looked lower than the right rear. I looked at it more
closely and then when I go home I made a crude measurement to see how much
lower. It looks to be fairly substantial, on the order of 3/8?, maybe more.
I also noticed a ?clunking? sound going over bumps that I had actually
thought was the cooler I keep in the trunk, but now I think not. The ride
does not seem hard, the symptom of the accumulators going bad. I had
actually replaced both of them around 60k miles ago?the car is high
mileage?I bought it to drive and I do! Does anybody have any ideas as to
what to look at before I bring it in? ThanksTom Oelsner90 560SEC223k miles

+was the rear plastic stabilizer ... Its easy to locate too if u get a
+chance on the lift
