[W126 Coupe] MBCOUPES Digest, Vol 76, Issue 14

That's a good idea. The pre-Great War style fuses on these cars corrode very easily. Sometimes the holder actually wears a hole through the end of the fuse. Good idea to replace them all every couple of years. You can tell if that fuse has been the problem because it usually is in other circuits, not just the dash lights. Check your listing under the fusebox lid.
[I DO mean "the Great War" (WW1), not WW2. These fuse designs almost predate the invention of electricity.]

Mr. rozbeh1348,

I'm just getting in on this so I don't know if you've already checked the fuse but regardless, even if the fuse looks good, with a volt meter, check to see if you have power on both sides of the fuse. If you do not have power on both sides but your fuse appears to be visually good (you can ohm test it as well) you probably have too much corrosion at the tips of the fuse and/or its contact points. It probably would not be a bad idea to resurface all of the fuses and their contact points in the fuse box with emery cloth . . .these cars are getting on in age and oxidation can and will effect the conduction of power.
Good luck,
Ernie
