Thanks for the tips everyone, but I'm still stuck. I got to loosen the alternator, but how do you loosen up the belts for the a/c compressor and the power steering pump? Need to take their belts off 1st right? Thanks

I think three bolts hold alt on.  Two of them should when loosened or removed should let you change the belt you will see the toothed adjustment bracket.  Regular sockets or wrenches will be fine.

My alternator belt on my 82' 380 sec needs to be changed. Is it easy to replace by yourself? do you need any special tools? Thanks, Ramon
