Thanks to all for your input. I will try to have it all looked at:
- Fuel filter
- Ignition module (if I can find a donor car-dealership wants huge money)
- KE control unit.......can someone explain to me what and where this unit
is?
Thanks,
Russell

re:
typically I would say yes, but turning the car on and off would only
increase the level of heat and given that solves the problem I'm leaning more
towards KE.. switching the ignition for on to off resets the KE,
getting it back in order for a bit.
My KE was sporadic just as he described and..
Granted, if FF hasn't been done in the last couple of years it should be
just as a matter of course!

I am also having a "cutting out" problem. On a 350 mile trip last fall,
my SEC would lose power after every 1hour and 45 minutes. I would have to
pull over and turn off the motor for a few minutes, then it would start and
be good for another 1-3/4 hours and lose power again. I finally got to a
dealer and picked up a new 'fuel relay'. This got me around while visiting
and all the way home again...I thought all was good. Last week while on a
2 hour drive, it lost power again at the 1-3/4 time period. Could this
just be a new fuel relay gone bad? What other part would "time" itself
out. Could the EZL or ignition module be the culprit.
