[W126 Coupe] W126 A/C question?

Sounds like the frustrations I went through with my SEC a/c after I first
bought it. In my case the a/c manifold hose was clogged and kept killing
compressors. I haven't heard much good with switching from R12 in these
cars. You have to make sure the right amount of oil and freon is in there
for starters, that your expansion valve isn't clogged, and that the
receiver/dryer is replaced along with the compressor when the job is done.
How about the high/low pressure switches? They should be able to hook up
gauges to see what is going on. Might be time to find another a/c shop like
I did.
There's a guy on benzworld in the 126 forum (48hp) who is having widebody
panels made from ones he just cut off a wrecked carcass he bought. Should
be available soon. You might want to search there and read up on it, look
for Widebody - Rise of the Phoenix or a posting along those lines.
Good luck!
