[W126 Coupe] (no subject)

  I have a 1990 560sec. For the most part the car is well maintained. I have
sum of the old serves records. There are some troubling holes in maintenance
recode. I figured that I was getting a good deal for my merc at only 4000
with 195000. I was ecstatic to have bout my first mer at the age of 19 and
pay cash in full for it.



  There is one problem that any one nor I can figer out with the old gal. I
put it in the shop that has work on my brother in laws 1986 560sec. And to
my understanding has treated him extremely well.



  I’m heading down the road 55 60 just sealing smoooooothly along. When the
car suddenly lurches forward the slows, the lurches thin gains speed when
the cruse is on.   When the cruse is off it does the same thing and when I
put my foot down the foot feet goes to the floor. The economizer goes to red
the car never picks up speed. It cycles throw this 3 or 4 time and sometimes
dies. Then 5 minutes sitting by the road side with extreme anger and
frustration. I start the old baby up an we’re on our way. Not a problem for
another 25 50 150 miles.(this isn’t the best



  The mechanic that work on my brother in laws Benz replaced the fuel
filters, fuel pumps, and wire relays. I have the same problem as I did when
he ‘fixed it’ only much more periodic than before.



  The mechanic said that I was impossible to have this problem. After the
work that he has done.
